For some reason Internet Explorer is making a mess of this page. And unfortunately I’m more writer than geek, so I’m struggling to work out what the problem is. I’ve put the question to the combined mental might of the WordPress forum – so hopefully an expert will be able to fix this for me.

Until then, please don’t look at me unless you’re looking through Firefox!

Update: I’ve largely fixed the weirdness. It seems that when I cut and pasted text from Word into WordPress a load of weird code was being transplanted into the post. I was using the WordPress Paste from Word function which should sort out any weirdness, but for some reason it was getting all screwy. Anyway, at the root of my problem is Word, so whichever way you look at it Microsoft is to blame.
